A very exciting new narrative regarding MRNA! There was news that their cancer vaccine is showing massive promise. This plays along with our previous speculation that AI will benefit the healthcare sector. This can potentially be a narrative that have legs. we can expect the benefits of AI keep on spilling over to biotech/healthcare stocks in the coming years. Keep a close eye on it. Other than that, the market has been quite dull, which is typical of this time of the year. There was some drama regarding the 30 year US government bond that freaked some people out… but all is good so far. This is also the reason why BTC and gold went up. BTC could be a cyclical bottom…
It is also typical that good opportunities don’t come often. Maybe a handful per year… and rest are noise…the key is to just wait when there’s nothing happening, and strike when the opportunities come. We had a great run with memory stocks and SpaceX, and the right thing to do now is to wait until the next opportunity shows up. Maybe it’ll be cancer drugs related…
Cybersecurity fizzled out… while oil stocks are still holding. Oil stocks are the only negatively correlated sectors to the SPX right now. Even if it doesn’t perform, it might be a good hedge.
